Kathleen is running for School Committee because:

  • Lexington’s schools are facing sustained enrollment increases preK-12th grade. We need to create more space to continue to give our children an excellent education.
  • Students are under stress. This is not a new issue, but it is time to take pragmatic steps to reduce the amount of stress our children, elementary school through high school, deal with every day.
  • Our continued enrollment increases are putting tremendous pressure on the school budget. We need to meet the needs of our students and satisfy tax payers that this is being done as fiscally responsibly as possible.
